I first tried the Divergent Discs Nuno when it was released in late 2021. I fell in love with this putter straight away and I think it will always have a place in my bag. My confidence increased and I putt after putt after putt with this beautiful disc.

different slicesis a disc golf brand designed with the beginner and recreational player in mind, but don't let Nuno fool you. This is a disc golf putter suitable for players of all skill levels. I've been playing this set for over a decade, tried literally hundreds of different putters and this is currently my FAVORITE. There are so many things I like about Nuno.

The first thing I like about the Nuno and probably the reason I can make so many extra putts with it is the superior grip. This is one of the grippiest disc golf compounds I've ever felt. I would say that only Kastaplast K1 plastic has more grip than Divergent Max Grip. This excellent grip makes turning easier with less effort. The Nuno glides very well and I feel it takes less effort to go far which translates to more precision.

The Nuno allows me to use the same motion on a 25 foot putt that I would use with another putter on a 20 foot putt. This gives me effortless accuracy and when it comes to pedaling, confidence is key. This easy distance ability with less effort also allows me to hit a higher percentage of long putts. My accuracy range is increasing and as a result my disc golf round scores are dropping.

Another great advantage of the Nuno is that the high quality of the Max Grip plastic makes it a good choice for both throwing and putting. I typically use a basic plastic disc for putting and premium plastic discs for drives and approach shots. Because this plastic is so good that it can be used for both.

The Nuno is ideal as a launch putter. It has a very straight trajectory with almost no end-of-flight fade. Players of all skill levels can throw this puck and it is great for single puck rounds. The Nuno maintains whatever flight angle it is placed at. Throw it flat and watch it go straight. Place it at an outer Hyzer angle and the puck will curve left around obstacles. Throw it outward at an anhyzer angle and the nuno stays true.

The Nuno is a beadless putter. It feels similar to the rune mentioned in the review below, but without a rounded bulge at the bottom of the bottom edge. This is a very comfortable recording with a great feel.

Perhaps the best thing about the Nuno is its affordable price. Despite being made from high quality TPU plastic, it's still one of the most affordable putters in all of disc golf. You can save even more money by purchasing it as part of oneSet of 10 bulk packs.

ADVANTAGES

  • Top Grip
  • great feeling
  • constant flight
  • Works well for standing and watering.
  • Ultra affordable for superior plastic
  • Available in putter packs
  • Perfect for players of all skill levels

OPPOSITES

  • Some may not be fans of the bearded man's artwork.

2. Rune der Wikingerscheiben

The 7 Best Disc Golf Clubs of 2022 - Reviewed and Rated (2)

The Viking Discs Rune has an excellent feel with a smooth flat top and a nice large bead. It comes in many great plastics, my favorite for applying is the ground plastic mix. This plastic has the perfect amount of excellent grip while still being relatively stiff. Not only is this one of the best feeling putter synthetics in all of disc golf, but it's also extremely affordable.

As inexpensive as it is, ground plastic is quite strong and durable when used in a blunt putter. This leads to many excellent rounds of disc golf. You don't have to worry about the putter becoming useless in the rain as it's pretty sticky in all conditions. So you no longer have to worry about the grip of the putter in bad weather. Ground Rune's low price also allows you to buy several identical discs to improve your practice reps. Since Infinite, the rune is sometimes sold asPutter-Packs. When you see an available putter packagebuy itimmediately before they run out, as this is the most cost-effective way to obtain multiple identical practice putters.

As for the characteristics of this putter, it has a diameter of 21.2 cm, a rim depth: 1.5 cm, a rim width: 1.1 cm and a height: 2 cm. The weight is usually between 170 and 175 g.

In addition to its great feel as a putter, the Rune is also great for approach shots. Viking Discs lists it as having a speed of 2, slip of 4, spin of 0, and fade of 0. I would give it a fade rating of 1 as it has a slight fade as the disc slows down. The Rune flies in a straight line without compromising accuracy and handles moderately well in wind conditions.

Conclusion: Rune is great for players of all skill levels. When it comes to value, Rune is the best all-purpose putter on the market.

ADVANTAGES

  • incredible feeling
  • great flight
  • Ultra affordable for superior plastic
  • Often available in putter packs
  • A perfect record for both experts and beginners.

OPPOSITES

  • Color options are usually very limited.

3. Infinite Alpaca Discs

The 7 Best Disc Golf Clubs of 2022 - Reviewed and Rated (3)

The Infinite Discs Alpaca is the best selling putter of 2021. This approach putt and disc is well known for its utility as a putting and driving putter.

The Alpaca is a heelless putter with a deep edge and a comfortable moderate dome. The upper flight plate after curvature is fairly flat. This disc has remarkably stable flight even when thrown at full power by professional disc golfers.

This disc is very similar to the hard-to-find Discmania P2. Lots of P2 fans including professional disc golferskona panis, switched from P2 to Alpaca.

One of the best things about Infinite Discs Alpaca is the creative artwork on each disc. Each alpaca run depicts a different, sometimes hysterical image of an alpaca.

The alpaca is available in a variety of different synthetic blends to suit all preferences. My personal favorite is the P-Blend Alpaca.

If you're looking for a solid, heelless, all-purpose putting and approach disc, try the Alpaca today.

ADVANTAGES

  • Good for putting and approach shots.
  • excellent feeling
  • fly straight
  • Wind resistant and tolerates strong winds.
  • Good for all skill levels.

OPPOSITES

  • Hot Chucks sell out fast and are hard to come by

4. Yikun-Xing

The 7 Best Disc Golf Clubs of 2022 - Reviewed and Rated (4)

The Yikun Xing is just a fantastic beaded putter. It's similar to Viking Disc's Rune, but it's a little deeper and comes at an even cheaper price. It is almost identical to the Latitude 64 dagger used by World Champion Ricky Wysocki.

While there are many good disc golf putters out there, the Xing makes our list of the best putters because not only is it a great disc, it is literally the cheapest disc golf putter on the market, especially if you buy it as part of a putterputter package.

The Xing is a deep putter with good glide. It is good for both nose-down and nose-up push putts, as well as spin putts.

The Xing has a straight and stable flight on pitches and approach shots. On a straight throw, this puck glides toward its intended target.

If you like value, cheap discs and high performance, consider the new Yikun Xing Approach and Putt disc.

ADVANTAGES

  • Most Affordable Quality Disc Golf Putter
  • it is very precise
  • Nice deep bowl, good for spin and push putts.

OPPOSITES

  • The rim is a bit deep for small hands.
  • made in China

5. Discarding the Banger GT putter

The 7 Best Disc Golf Clubs of 2022 - Reviewed and Rated (5)

Discraft's new Jawbreaker Banger GT putter is a great combination of comfort and smoothness. He's known for offering consistency and confidence on every pitch. Players don't have to worry about not being able to throw the disc.

It is a slightly more stable putting and approach drive that has a stability rating of 1.0.

The best Discraft putter is an amazing disc for both forehand and backhand. Best of all, it's more stable and the drive can handle headwinds. Players who use a Hyzer often prefer this putter.

Another thing I really like about this golf disc is that it doesn't spin when you're shooting long drives. He also doesn't jump on the fast greens. GT stands for Groove Top and when you put your thumb in the putter you can feel the Groove Top. I can't stress enough the fact that he delivers consistent pitches.

The plastic material of the jaw breaker is durable and very sticky, offering medium rigidity. This makes it ideal for approach discs and disc golf putters. The plastic is beautiful and has a marble texture and comes in a variety of pastel colors. But more important than the choice of color is the feel of the material. It has excellent grip and offers a more slippery feel that is great for putting on.

Speaking of color and weight availability, it may not be available in all colors. Likewise, not all weight ranges may be available in all colors.

ADVANTAGES

  • Provides consistent pitches
  • It offers perfect stability.
  • Comes in different colors
  • Jawbreaker plastic increases grip and reliability.

OPPOSITES

  • The availability of color and weight ranges can be an issue

6. Innova Avian Putt und Approach Disc Golf Putter

The 7 Best Disc Golf Clubs of 2022 - Reviewed and Rated (6)

Check price on Amazon See selection in Infinite Discs

The Innova Avian is an exceptional putter and probably the most popular putter in all of disc golf. This is the putter that comes with most Innova disc golf sets. What sets the Avian apart from other putters is that it's easy to launch for both short putts and long approach shots. The Avian has an excellent glide and goes the distance with just one movement.

The Avian is available in a variety of plastics. DX Plastic is very inexpensive and feels good. When a DX Avian is hit, it flies perfectly straight and curves in any desired direction depending on the launch angle. Due to its popularity, the Avian is available in half a dozen different types of plastic.

Now let's talk about flight reviews. The Avian has official flight ratings of 2.0 speed, 3.0 glide, 0 roll and 1.0 fade. As you can see, the speed rating makes the disc ideal for putting. After the DX plastic aviars wear off a bit, their flight rating becomes a true 2/3/0/1 direct flight. The Avian is an excellent putter for the ultimate player transitioning to disc golf.

ADVANTAGES

  • It's a professional record
  • It is made of high quality plastic.
  • Offers high speed
  • Available in different colors

OPPOSITES

  • It's not an ideal choice for beginners.
  • It can become less stable over time.

7. Innova XT Nova

The 7 Best Disc Golf Clubs of 2022 - Reviewed and Rated (7)

This Innova Nova Disc has combined two different types of plastic materials to create this original disc. The rubber on the outside distinguishes this putter from all other putters.

The engineering used in the manufacture of Innova XT putters is quite advanced and the flying plate is made from a solid XT material. This XT material is fused to a plastic lip on the outside of the putter for a smooth grip.

If you ask me what the benefit of this soft ring is, I would tell you that it will help you release the putter straight and you will also be able to make powerful throws.

The outer edge should grip the chain. This combination of soft, grippy plastic offers the best of both worlds: first, it offers stability even at high speeds, and second, fade at slow speeds is minimal.

What more could you ask for on a record? Another feature that makes this putter unique are the grooves that are placed along the outer edge. As with most other Innova discs, you will find multiple colors for this one. This gives you the ability to select a color of your choice that you feel is most visible on long approaches.

Who can use this putter? If you are looking for a putter for technical, rebound-free approaches and precise hitting, you will find what you are looking for in this disc golf. The weight of the putter ranges from 165 to 175 g.

ADVANTAGES

  • The disc is made of XT material.
  • take the basket
  • provides stability

How to choose the golf disc putter?

With so many disc golf putters on the market, choosing the right putter can certainly be a bit overwhelming. However, without the right putter, you're basically at a disadvantage. Don't worry, my buying guide makes it easy for you.

Check weight

When it comes to drivers, the lighter weight is usually better for newer players, but when it comes to putters, the heavier ones tend to work just as well for all skill levels. It's important to consider the wind when choosing your putter, and lightweight putters are much less efficient when a strong gust of wind hits. Heavy putters can handle a breeze without changing course, while light putters are easily affected by the wind. Light putters are more likely to swing to the right, while heavy putters stay straight or fade to the right for a right-handed disc golfer.

Lightweight putters are often recommended for children for safety reasons. Kids aren't always the best at following course etiquette and waiting their turn, and getting hit in the neck with a 130g putter is a lot less painful than a 175g putter. g putter.

Check the type of plastic.

The type of plastic used in molding putters affects the disc's weight, feel, and wear resistance. There are four main types of plastics used to make putters as follows:

base plastic:Plain plastic putters are the cheapest. These offer good grip, but performance and grip tend to change over time due to nicks and scratches that change the shape of the disc over time. The base plastic is good for short putts and soft approach shots, but it's not a compound you generally want to use for driving. The beauty of using base plastic putters is that the low cost means you get plenty of pucks to enhance your backyard practice efforts.

Medium quality plastic: Medium grade plastic is very popular in putters. The materials used here are similar to basic plastic, but generally offer slightly better immersion and durability. Because of the premium additives added to these blends, the cost is higher than that of the base plastics. Mid-range plastic discs are just as prone to nicks and scratches as plain plastic discs, but they feel more premium. Medium grade resin compounds are most popular with intermediate disc golfers.

Extremely resistant plastic:High-quality polymers produce extremely durable plastics that are more expensive than base and mid-grade compounds. However, permanent compounds are generally softer and harder. Durable putters don't stick to chains as well as medium-sized plastic putters. The advantage of durable compounds is that they do not bend under abuse due to the fairly hard plastic. When you find a putter that you really enjoy throwing for straight shots in the woods, you probably want to find one made out of a durable composite compound.

Premium Plastic:High quality plastic putters are the most expensive, but you get everything from performance, control, grip to durability. High-quality plastics generally don't have as much stickiness as a medium-quality putter, and because of their higher cost, they're generally not as popular or used as often.

Know the trajectory rating

Innova has developed a system for evaluating putter flight plan and many other brands follow this system. Please note that these ratings are not a guarantee that the putters will perform exactly as they are intended. It tells you what the putters are capable of and the rest is up to your technique and skill level. According to the Innova flight plan, the flight path has four categories:

Speed:It measures how fast you must throw the putter for it to work as intended. Putters typically have a speed rating of one to three.

Slide: It refers to how long a putter can stay in the air, and a higher number means it travels a greater distance. A putter with a slip value of three is good enough.

Fold:Measure how much the puck bends after it leaves your hand. Most putters are available in the -3 to 1 range.

Define: It refers to how the putter behaves at the end of its flight when it has reached its slowest speed. Putters have a fade range of zero to three. Because of the shape of the putter, putters don't fade as much as a disc golf driver.

There are basically two main types of putters and the following is a quick rundown of the specs to choose between each type.

The 7 Best Disc Golf Clubs of 2022 - Reviewed and Rated (8)

How to choose a disc golf putter?

Putters have the slowest and shortest flight, making them ideal for hitting shots and scoring points. These are also useful for short, controlled shots that are within fifty yards of the target. The disc should slip out of your hand easily.

Choosing a putter is very personal and you need to hold the putter in your hand to understand its shape, plastic, size and strength. Take the time to inspect it because after all, the putter is the most used putter in your bag. Only get the putter if you are comfortable with the grip and release. This is the most important thing to consider when choosing your putter.

set styles

There are four basic putting styles: turbo putt, spin putt, straddle putt, and push putt. You can use separate putters to master each style type. However, once you've gotten a putter that you're comfortable with, stick with it because you can easily use it on all shots.

chain contact

Chain contact refers to the way putters hit and hold onto the chain. You want the putters to make contact with the chain and stay in the basket. Putters made of softer material tend to stick better to the chains, while putters with less grip tend to slip or "spit" more often, especially when wet.

speed and weight

A speed of less than three is standard for putters. These discs are designed to fly slowly, giving you maximum control when landing at or near the basket. Weight is a matter of preference, but our general recommendation is that putters should be in the 165-174g range for most players. Choose the weight based on what suits you as a player.

The degree of glide

Glide is great when you're trying to hit a long-distance shot, but in the case of putters, you could just drive past the basket and have a hard return putt. So get something in the mid-range in terms of glide ratios that suits your needs. In this case, you don't need a high-slip disc golf putter. If you use a lot of spin and like minimal arm movement, consider a high-slide putter.

construction

Putters are by far the tallest disc golf clubs, but they are not generally the largest in diameter. The putters are an average of 2.11 centimeters high and have a narrow rim width of only 0.98 centimeters.

If you cannot buy the putters from a physical store, you will not have the opportunity to touch and feel the putters yourself. Don't worry, you can still get it right if you buy it online. Just read all the specs carefully and go through the reviews too.

There is another route I would suggest if you really want to feel the putters before you buy them. Try out your friends' putters to get a clear idea of what they like and don't like.

How do I choose the right disc golf powered putter?

Launch putters go the distance and are specifically designed for long drives and approaches. These are the kind of putters you need if you are an expert at the game. HeRiders with maximum distanceThey are capable of slicing through the air at very high speeds. These can travel a distance of almost 400 feet when thrown with the right technique and power.

The best drive putters for disc golf typically have a speed rating of 3, along with thick rims. When selecting pitching putters, also pay attention to the usual criteria of speed, glide, stability, material and dimensions. This is the number one thing to consider when choosing a pitching/driving putter.

speed and weight

In terms of speed, the best launch putters can have an Innova rating of 2-4. Both putting and pitching putters weigh around 165-175 grams according to PGDA approval, so there's not much you can verify about them.

Voucher number

Throwing putters with a higher glide ratio will cover distance more effectively than putters with lower glide ratios. I suggest looking for a seven slip putter to hold the loft longer.

stability

In terms of stability, the best windshield golf putter will give you wobbly, stable, and over-stable starting putters. Putters that curve to the right are unstable, and putters that fly straight with a low fade are stable. Discs that curve to the left are overstable. The stability needed in the launching putter depends on the player and the force with which they are throwing. It would be wrong of me to name a specific stability that works for all of you.

construction

For your pitching putter, you should only use high-quality, premium-quality plastics. The simple plastic putter is given away after a few days of intense disc golf sessions. As for the dimensions, the height of 1.65 to 1.77 centimeters and the width of 2.11 to 1.67 centimeters should be enough for your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Now that I hope to have cleared your doubts and questions about choosing the best putters and the best products available on the market, we come to the most frequently asked questions. These are the top three questions I've been asked by my fellow gamers, friends, and some of you. So read on to clear up any last doubts you may have about putters.

What are disc golf putters?

main fourTypes of disc golf discsThere are distance drivers, fairway drivers, midrange drivers and putters. The slowest, deepest, and thinnest disc golf discs are putters. These are designed to fly short distances in a straight line. Because these are the slowest spinning pucks, these don't have the potential to go off the line or over the basket. It not only helps a player to score but also develops their short game.

How many putters should I buy?

If you want to play disc golf seriously, you need to invest in several putters. The more identical putters you get to practice with, the more repetitions you can achieve in a short amount of time. Additionally, many disc golfers find that the putter they use for putting is not the one they prefer for drive and approach shots. Most prefer premium plastic compounds for driving and TPE-based plastic compounds for driving.

Every professional disc golfer has a vast collection of putters to draw on depending on the needs of the game. There is no specific limit to the number of putters you must have or the maximum number you may carry during the tournament's disc golf rounds.

Have a good mix of throwing putter and putter and you're good to go.

What is the best disc golf putter weight?

When it comes to riders, the weight of the discs you throw should vary based on your skill level. When it comes to putters, the lighter putting discs really don't have much of an advantage. A light disc is more susceptible to wind than a heavier disc, and there are few things worse than taking your putter out of the basket on a gusty day. For this reason I recommend that in most cases you choose a putting and approach disc that weighs between 165 and 175 grams. If you are buying your putter for a child or are just looking for a little more glide and propulsion with little effort then a lightweight putter is recommended.

Do I need more than one putter?

You only need a putter, to play a round of disc golf you technically only need a disc. However, if you are serious about disc golf and want to play tournaments, you should have at least one putter for putting and one for approach shots. It's also good to have an identical backup of your main putter in case you lose it.

If you want to get maximum results while practicing, invest in identical multiples of your favorite putter.

I carry at least four putters with me at all times: 2 approach and driving putters, a putting putter and an extra putting putter for throwing in case one gets lost or damaged. I've never had a problem with so many putters in my bag.

Diploma

Before you buy any of the above putters, be sure to read the reviews and check the specs to make sure you're getting exactly what you're looking for.

When it comes to putters, there is no one-size-fits-all product because your experience level and skill and putting style make a huge difference. I think I've covered all the bases when it comes to the best disc golf putter.

Do you think i missed something? Or do you have any other interesting facts or ideas that you would like to share with me? What putters do you like or work well for you? Let me know in the comment section below!
